Apparently she irked the boss. Details about how are sketchy as yet. Can’t up and fire her. That would give ammo to the enemy and raise uncomfortable questions like “Who the hell thought it was a good idea to hire her in the first place?”.

Yes, I could agree on that, except, from what I’ve read on the reasons speculation, Trump was more than a little pissed that Noem spent $200M on an add campaign defending ICE AND that the rumors she’s having a continuing affair with Lewandowski have resurfaced AND that she had a tantrum over her favorite blanket being left behind on a charter flight to somewhere when she had to switch planes. She apparently went off on the pilot because she screwed up.
In government politics, optics are everything, especially when the Demonrats are looking for any smidgen of dirt to discredit Trump in an election year.
Personally, when she was governor and vetoed the protect women in sports bill that was passed in both houses of S. Dakota legislature supposedly because she was beholden to NCAA for some reason, she was dirt in my book.
I lived under Noem’s fluid dictatorship and I was glad she got picked for a fed office and that she wouldn’t be governator. Now I might look at South Dakota again…

I dunno, when I worked in a big corporation getting a job with international scope from one that was only domestic in responsibility was a move up.

When Trump firs someone he either gives them a cushy landing so they won’t ‘talk’ about his improprieties, like a mob boss ‘takes care’ of you. Or he mercilessly trashes the person in the media and threatens or actual sues or sics the Justice Department or IRS on them.
Don’t know what type of manager he is but Mullen’s MMA experience could be useful in teaching ICE/BP to beat people up rather than shoot them.
