Yes, I could agree on that, except, from what I’ve read on the reasons speculation, Trump was more than a little pissed that Noem spent $200M on an add campaign defending ICE AND that the rumors she’s having a continuing affair with Lewandowski have resurfaced AND that she had a tantrum over her favorite blanket being left behind on a charter flight to somewhere when she had to switch planes. She apparently went off on the pilot because she screwed up.
In government politics, optics are everything, especially when the Demonrats are looking for any smidgen of dirt to discredit Trump in an election year.
Personally, when she was governor and vetoed the protect women in sports bill that was passed in both houses of S. Dakota legislature supposedly because she was beholden to NCAA for some reason, she was dirt in my book.

As for Markwayne Mullin, I was shocked that he is NOT a negro. What with the fucked up name and all. “Mar-Kwain” his own bad self likes to talk like he’s a grizzled combat vet, but he really really is not. That’s not illegal, but it’s a red flag for stolen valor-type general assheadedness. I hope he does a Fantastic Job at his new post, but I’m not optimistic.
They should have promoted Tom Homan to head DHS. He looks like and talks like a thug or a punch drunk ex prize fighter which is just the optic that’s needed at DHS.
