had a Ruger Blackhawk in 357. great and accurate wheel gun. in the 1980’s used to drop coyotes in Kansas and sell the damn things to a hide shop for 9 bucks a pop
off the hood of the truck it was easy to each out a good 100 yards or more with it.
lost in the divorce later on. never got around to getting another one. but then I didn’t live in Kansas anymore either.

YEAH. fucking stupid. had a few teenage kids come thru the ER with drug and almost overdose problems. one kid, I never forget. good size boy about 17 or so. his DAD showed up to check him out in the ER. MPs where asking said kid where he got the drugs from. kid was high as shit and laughing at them.
in steps DAD. smaller than his kid. 101st combat patch, CIB, master blaster wings
wham ! he hits the kid, bed goes rolling back to the wall. MPs try to step in. but no.
DAD hits him again, grabs the kid and says TALK. MPs RUN out to get the doctor
kid says something to dad. DAD leaves. Mom shows up later to take kid home.
3 or 4 weeks later, there is a body found in a storage unit 20 miles from base.
the body was abused. badly by someone that knew how to make it last.
no charges were ever brought as far as I know, and they never found out who did it. and it was on the news for less than a minute back then.
but the lesson got around. do not fuck with the kids on base.
