There are a lot of sponsors of international terrorism. Certainly Iran is one of the worst but Russia is right up there. The US, Israel and Saudi Arabia have all contributed as well.
Governments are little more than sanctioned violence. Against their own people or against other governments. The only long term correct solution is to minimize government, minimize the sanctioned violence.
Less government may help in some cases but having good people in government and a better educated citizenry is a better idea. Look at a country like Somalia. Lots of corruption and violence with minimal government and still a shithole country.
Compare to the Scandinavian countries with a lot more government than the US but much less violence and corruption. Most people actually respect the government even if run by a different party.

The Civil War almost destroyed our political system and the Depression nearly destroyed capitalism. In both cases we came out a better country. Trump’s foolishness may collapse both the economy and political system and yet we may again be able to emerge a better country. Maybe not.
