One of the original founding members of the band Deep Purple, Ritchie Blackmoore, got on stage to play one song.
The one every single one of us remembers from when we were young and wild,
Smoke On the Water.
Yeah, the sound and the video aren’t stellar but there it is, possibly for the last time ever.
Ritchie Blackmore is still playing. He married Candice Night and their new band is called Blackmore’s Night. Medieval rock & roll. I like it and I made my grand daughters listen to growing up.
Ian Anderson/ Jethro Tull is still playing as well.

I saw Purple with Ritchie on the Perfect Strangers tour,opened tour in New England after recording album in Vt,was a Saturday night…..,oh,was also my Birthday!
I saw Ritchie with Rainbow also in 78,good times!
Saw them at Knebworth in England in 1985 while I was stationed over there. It was the only date they played in their home country on that tour so it was huge. It also rained most of the day so it was wet and muddy like Woodstock. I knew a British girl who later told me that she used to be a neighbor of Ian Gillan and he had a crush on her. She said if I had taken her with me she could have introduced me to him. Who knew?
