But but but the goobermint sez 3%.
There are only three things from the goobermint;
Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics,,,,,,,except when their lips are moving.
They told me if I supported Kamala Harris that we would end up with higher prices and more wars, and they were right.
that kind of fucked I bought butter last week at 6 bucks for 2 packs of 4 sticks each.
grated it a store brand, but the store brand is very good ! and on Tuesday and Thursday I get 10% off because I am a old fart and a vet. even so, I spend a good 4 hundred a month on food. and I NOT buying steak either. ground beef is up to 7-8 bucks a pound now where it was 2.99 last year at this time ?
I buy and use a lot of canned chicken. it easier and faster to cook with for me.
but even it up a bit. what used to be 7-8 bucks for 4 cans, is now 11 bucks.
and don’t even talk about the price of coffee now a days.
BTW, those big ass stores don’t always have the best prices. or taste as good as some of the smaller chains. forget Walmart. you can do a lot better than them.
I call bs on that happening in the last year.
In 2020, big containers of Folgers were $9+, in 2024 they were $18+, now they’re $20.
Prices went up, but not that much in the last year, it was the previous 4 years.
Hamburger, fyom 2020-2024 went from $2+ to $6, it’s been steady around there.
Wifes prefered brand of beans went from $15.99 to $23.99 at the sobeys, though price is still only 21.95 on amazon.
Wally World ribeyes 11 to over 20 a pound buy Tbones now, 8 a pound cheaper
Ole Joe did a lotta damage to the $; the Liberals and a few spineless Republicans are doing more damage while lining their pockets. Trump is trying hard, but it’s gonna take some time before our currency is back on its feet again. Vote for the Conservatives in the mid-terms and you’ll probably see lower prices in the supermarket.
The operative word is “probably”, whereas if you put the Libturds back in office the operative words will be “certainly higher”.
For a REALLY good example, see the goobernator of Virginia !
On my most recent grocery store trip, I noted a number of significant price increases, of over 10, and even 15 percent. These were on products that had maintained stable prices for over a year (as they are items I buy regularly). And this was before the bullshit in Iran, and the resulting jump in gas prices, which will be factored into everything that is transported, going forward now.
Inflation is permanent, prices will never go back down. The answer is to elect Dems again so they can print 10’s of trillions more and debase the currency further. Free money for everyone, BYOW
