My dad actually flew Gen. Patton around Europe and Egypt in a C-47 for five months in WW2.

Before retiring I endured a number of managers who didn’t have leadership ability. I get the impression that the civilian world tried to emulate the WWII 90 Day Wonder program used to create mustang officers, but left out the part where the military used that program for guys who had ALREADY demonstrated leadership ability. So we have businesses run by people who received all the gimmicks, but don’t have the character to use them correctly.
Sort of like a big, fancy building on top of a really bad foundation.
I normally don’t use wiki, because it can be edited by anyone, but I would also like this man to be present for current events, he was less polite that Gen Patton in some ways. And he also got shit done.
Pity he made so many enemies that he was marked for murder.

Yes, my dad, he was a pilot in the Army Air Corp and transited to the Air Force. He flew C-47, C-54, B-24, B-25s. But that picture is not of my dad as far as I know, I just found it on my many rabbit hole excursions looking for stuff.
My mother in law was a stewardess on that class of plane for TWA she was a hottie in her day.
We definitely could use a man like Patton today just for the fact there are so many in Washington DC that need a good slap back into reality.
