I can only assume it’s difficult to process that you have been lied to your entire life by the people you trusted.
Hard for me to say because I quit trusting those same assholes at least fifty years ago.

I would say the biggest wake up was watching the JFK film where his head goes back to the left. 1978. west Berlin dayroom. West German tv show. there was at least 2 dozen guys there as well. and everyone was a grunt/shooter.
