According to a television news article just prior to the death of James Earl Ray the rifle used to kill MLK was never shot for a ballistics test to verify if Ray was the one who killed MLK. This ballistics test was forbidden by the judge overseeing the trial.
Later, it was argued “We can’t test it NAOW! It needs cleaning and that would destroy the ballistic evidence!”
(Eyeroll then, eyeroll now.)
I inherited the exact same deer rifle from my Grampa.
My only issue with the 1911 is not using or shooting, but carrying the thing. Getting old sucks. Getting old with a lot of prior injuries sucks worse.
I had to go to a crossdraw holster for my 1911. For now, getting old beats the alternative.
I’m lucky, my Commander carries well, with the proper belt, suspenders and IWB holster.
Why suspenders? Because my fine, climbing trees for 30 years ass, evaporated when I quit climbing trees in ’15. It’s not a good thing.
#45 – good idea, but how will they get that close to Congressmen and Actors to capture them?
Nice collage. Thanks all. l especially liked the .45 ACP meme with all the big Big BIG holes.

#51 – In my old wore-out condition, the #3 option is the one that’ll be first priority.
I can hear #68, and its awesome!
My favorite childhood memory is hearing and seeing military jets flying over my grandparents farm. Their house was a waypoint for pilots flying training missions out of Eglin AFB.
