  1. I miss my dad’s 55 wagon, we went all over Europe in that when dad was in England (59-62).
    I miss my 57 2dr HT and 57 4dr HT, they were restorations of love (back in 73-76).
    Real good cars, heavy, rugged, did not have seat belts until I installed ’em.
    265 and 283 “mouse” engines. 0-60 in about a week, slip-n-slide with Powerglide transmissions until I took the 2dr to a Muncie “rock crusher” manual.

    Thems were fun times!!

  2. yup. had a 55 Belair. looking back I wished I never sold it. yeah, like many others I swapped out the inline 6 for a V-8, older small journal 283 block punched out 030
    over and dropped in a 327 crank. ended up like 311. had a holly 3 barrel on top
    jetted it to 348 CFM and that baby ran !
    had a lot of fun with that car.
