I didn’t get home until late and had to go to bed so I could get up at the butt crack of dawn to go back to work and now I have to do that so this is going to be brief.

Beautiful weather, beautiful brand new boat, great people.

We did hook into at least 5 fish Saturday. You have to use barbless hooks.

We got 3 of them to the boat.

2 spit the hook as we were trying to get the net, the other was a nice bright fish but we had to unhook it in the net and let it go because it was a native.

Yesterday started out fine but ten minutes after we left the dock disaster struck as we hit a half submerged log at forty knots and bent a brand new prop.

We were going to head across to the Washington side but didn’t even get two miles from the dock. We still had the 9.9 horse trolling motor so we dropped the lines in and went at it.

The wind kicked up and the incoming tide was ripping and the combination kept pushing us back up the river.

Long story short, one bite, ten minutes before we packed it in.

I had a great time anyway, saw tons of wildlife, including little dolphins, got to relax and just kick back for a couple of days. I also met up with Steve, a reader who is just an awesomely nice guy and that is going to be a separate post later when I get home from work.

Of course work was a shit show and I got out of there late but I am getting my shit together, throwing it Ye Olde Chevrolet and beating feet to the coast to do some of this.

62 1/2 years I have lived on the West Coast, a couple of times for multiple years literally right next to some of the finest Salmon fishing grounds in the entire world and I have never caught one of the little sonsabitches. Mainly from a complete lack of trying.

But it’s been on my Bucket List now for several years and hopefully this weekend I am going to take care of that.

Even if I don’t I’m going to have a good time trying.

I’m not taking my laptop and I have no idea what if any internet I am going to have so CederQ is going to be picking up the slack.

PENDLETON, Ore. (KPTV) – A fire destroyed a building at the flour mill in Pendleton overnight.

On Tuesday, just before 3 p.m., crews responded to the report of black smoke coming from the Pendleton Flour Mills with no visible flames. Crews responded and extinguished a small fire, but remained on scene to watch for hot spots.

Police said the fire reignited at about 4 a.m. on Wednesday. The building was fully engulfed due to dry grain, as well as the wood structure.

The building where the fire was located is considered a total loss. Police said there were no other structures involved.

According to police, the fire is burning slow due to the amount of grain in the building. People are being asked to avoid the area while crews remain on scene.

Southeast Emigrant Avenue and Southeast Dorion Avenue are closed near the area of the fire. People are being asked to use Southeast Court Avenue and Southeast Frazier Avenue for east-west traffic.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

This time a flour mill.

Right off the top of my head I’m thinking there probably aren’t a whole lot of those around here anymore.

Now there is one less.

Wheat flour is a staple food item.

This is going to have some serious long term repercussions.

One of those tough old broads would probably pick them both up and haul them off to the front porch.

Mt. St. Helens blew and then kept erupting 42 years ago.

I saw MASSIVE lightning bolts shooting through the black clouds as it was going off several times and I still remember it vividly to this day.

It’s freaking impressive.

Everybody was watching this one like a Hawk around here.

Beutler was the chick who stabbed Trump in the back and voted for impeachment.

Trump returned the favor and backed Kent.

Now Kent has to run off against the Dem opponent in November.

This is where I figure the numbers are going to get massaged real good.

It took one entire week just to get the results for this primary.

Not even 150,000 votes to count.

Bunch of fucking horse shit.

They quit counting over the weekend , then quit counting AGAIN Monday afternoon.

I kept waiting for ‘The Spike” but he held on in the end.

Good Riddance to Jaimie Herrera Beutler.

She pretty much didn’t do a damn thing of note the entire time she was in office.

Except stab Trump in the back.

Looks to me like a whole bunch of people remembered that.
