  1. yeah, and they pissed off that they stopped in. I always found that show a bit weird. the whole command staff goes on away missions ?
like who runs the store while the clowns are playing ?

  2. Funny, but current scientific research is changing from ‘lotsa alien life’ to ‘well, shit, we here at Earth are really fucking unique.’ As in all the needful things for life to exist, perfect gravity, perfect weather conditions, perfect radiation conditions, having a tidal wage generator (our Moon), perfect atmosphere (non-oxygen, for to the algae and bugs that exude O2 as a waste product, having a big brother (Jupiter) clean up the spaceways of debris and acting like a shield against outside-the-system incoming, having the perfect sun (not too much radiation, not too little, not subject to too many random acts of coronal mass ejection.)

Seriously, the fact that any life started at all is, so far, a statistical anomaly, an outlier, freakish. We are a planet of freaks and mutants and freakish mutants and mutant freaks.

And, really, the original show’s tag line should have been, “To go where no man has gone before, and bang the hot chicks.”

  3. I won’t say anything bad about Roddenberry. He flew combat missions in WWII.

The cast on the 1960’s series makes me scratch my head. Very leftist.

    Tribe members

    Black female

    Gay Asian

White guys in red shirts expendable.

    Chew on that.

    Ragnar

    • Kirk still got to bang chicks in every port.

Much better than the modern ‘womyn powerz’ versions.
