This is bad, right?

Which sounds good on the surface but won’t really affect the price of gas that much in some states like California, Washington and Illinois.
All of which add taxes over fifty cents a gallon.
Also, I don’t know when that snapshot of gas prices was taken but there are places in California where gas is over $8 a gallon and I have seen Diesel prices over $7 a gallon here in Washington state up around Seattle within the last couple of weeks.
I personally paid $6.49 a gallon here in Vancouverstan Washington, putting some Diesel on my Brother’s 97 F-250 Super Duty that I had to borrow for a few days two weeks ago while I had my truck in the shop.

0.357 cents per gallon State Motor Fuel Excise Tax
0.184 cents per gallon Federal Tax
0.541 cents per gallon total tax
I wonder how the founding fathers who got bent over a 2 cent tax on tea would feel about this?
It’s little consolation that I’m in the state which appears to have 7th from the lowest average gas price right now. What’s worse still is that the knock on effects (cost of virtually all goods, shortages of food due to fertilizer supply) will be far worse than the immediate out of pocket hit we are taking to fill up the tank right now. We are on an unsustainable trajectory here.
I think Europe is at about $11 per gallon right now, their version of socialism that the left is begging for.
Cumulative taxes and fees in calif are about 1.44 per gallon.
last time I topped off it was 4.69 here in the hills of pa. last week.
bought 30 gallons of “corn free” gas last month and it was 5.21 per
last year it was like 4.21.
gasoline taxes are unreal. it always seems like they say it NEVER enough to fix the roads and whatnot, BUT I bet a lot of it goes to pay the assholes in the dept. of roads and bullshit.
The money goes into the general fund at all levels.
Sigh…..living on a fixed income is a bieeeatch. So when “they” say, “having a little bit of discomfort is a small price to pay for no nuke mooslimes….” Yeah, I can understand the theory; but in practice….Oy Vay it hurts.
Ya’ll need to be just a little more patient. There is a much larger plan. The fraud of 2020, just gave him 4 more years of planning.
Just my ¢¢.
You ain’t seen nothing yet. The real effects of this idiot war (specifically to keep Netanyahu from facing all those corruption charges, and generally for the glory of Greater Israel, bless their sociopathic genocidal hearts) haven’t even begun to be felt. They’re pulling all kinds of tricks to keep the price of oil down. (And yes, this IS down, considering the shit show we, or rather the Ziosupremacist enemies of all humanity*, have created.)
* yeah, I think we’re human. Funny that a mere talking animal with a lesser soul like me thinks it’s human, but there we are. For the record, I think They are human too. Which is one of the
many things that sets us apart from each other.
If we gave gas companies an ultimatum to refine US crude into US gasoline the price woud be a little lower but wouldn’t be sujbect to fluctuations from global events. But the oil companies wouldn’t be making as much money.
$3.84 in Mississippi yesterday
About 5.60 a gallon here in Hawaii, but I only drive about 30 miles a week, and my car can’t swim.
Guess how many refineries there are within 2600 miles…. ZERO.
Why don’t you have an electric car and solar panels to keep it charged? I was surprised when I was on Hawaii, Oahu, and Maui in 2012 that there weren’t more electic golf carts. Hell, we have a city full of the damn things with their own roads and everything, south of Atlanta.
You lucky bastards … In Sydney, we have been paying around $3.20/L for diesel. It seems to have dropped down to $2.47/L this week. So to find out how much we pay for a gallon, multiply by 4.5 which would have made the diesel approximately $14.40 – $ 11.12 per gallon.
So, I dare say you can just imagine how we despise your POTUS and his Israeli counterpart for starting a war that should never, ever have been engaged in. A little birdy tells me that, economically – things are going to get a lot worse, before they get any better …
So do we Hotrod, all politicians are sociopaths
I live in North Charleston, SC off US78/I26 and Regular is $3.69-4.15 in about 2.5 miles.
$1.26 In Hebron……suckers

The Oregon legislature told California, Hawaii, and Washington state to “hold my beer.”
It’s gonna get worse, follow RBOB, here I add about 40 cents to get local prices. Mostly 3.99 round here today
