Had a friend who worked a shut down at the roasting facility here in SC, he brought me a bag of their coffee. Ridiculously overpriced, doesn’t taste so good.
0/10 would ever actually buy
They over roast their beans. If I buy coffee it is either Waffle House or Duncan.
bought one cup. many years ago. there was no other place to get any coffee anywhere close. it was over priced, burnt as hell. never again.
and after turning down some Marines some coffee. they wanted to buy some in bags while they where deployed . they have managed somehow to get installed in VA centers across this country (??) so, fuck them and the stupid liberals assholes who buy that shit. hell. even Micky’s Ds is better coffee and it only 1.59 for a large cup too.
micky d is good coffee. I remember starbucks and that marine deal. I didn’t patronize them before that and certainly not after that. Fuck them.
Star who?
I’m too cheap to patronize them, even if their coffee was good. Grateful for the many opinions that it’s over roasted swill.
Shopping recently at Food-4-Less in Medford, the ice cream counter by the entrance has coffee for $0.50/12oz. cup. Really. Three choices, a breakfast blend, a French dark roast, and something called hazelnut cream. I had the bb and it was pretty good. I tend to favor truck stop diner coffee anyway, and if the waitress says “Give me a minute to brew a fresh pot”, she’s getting a huge tip.
Did the freakazoid server look like they’d been kissing the stapler and tell you their pronouns?
Oh, my bad. You weren’t in a Starbucks…..
Just liberated a Seattle’s Best thermos cup from storage. On visits to Seattle 30+ years ago, I always patronized them (SB). Great coffee, and a lot less than starf**ks who bought them. I remember that as a sad day.
Tim Horton’s or bust.
I think I tried it once, probably thirty years ago. I still have the stainless mug My honey bought me that day. I run two pots a day through it (perked). Ran over it with the backhoe some 15 years ago. Made a dent the size of a golf ball, and the lid only fits one way now. Great mug, but the coffee didn’t make much of an impression.
