We Finally Got Some Rain

It’s been ridiculously dry around here for months.

Of course now that it has finally started, it’s going to make up for lost time in one weekend and then the real rainy season is going to take off and last six or eight months.

It’s supposed to drop an inch of rain here this weekend.

This last Spring, it rained, snowed in freakin’ April and then rained some more clear into the middle of June.

I could do without that but it is what it is.

At least this rain should go a long way towards knocking down the forest fires that have been burning about 20 miles away.

We have had the worst air quality on the planet for over a week. Visibility was less than a quarter of a mile and the second you stepped outside you immediately smelled smoke.

This rain will knock that off in a hurry.

Apparently it’s been so long since it has rained here the Lefttards have forgotten how to use umbrellas.

  1. “and ladt six or eight”

    last

    chuckling

We’re getting the same amount of rain over this way, and it will most likely be a cold winter, as early as the trees started chsnging this year.

    oops, changing

    heh

    • The letters are worn completely off several of the keys on my laptop and I didn’t proof read it first. Thanks.

  2. Damn if you get more rain than you need, send some my way. I’ve had less than 6 inches , put your dirty minds away, in the last 5 months. Damn near all of Kentucky is under a burn ban. We had frost so it’s all dead, I’m afraid to fart outside. Phil, it’s time to plant winter wheat, it will soften the dirt and turned under it’s damn good fertilizer.

  3. We got a good drenching rain this week also but not enough to do away with the County Burn Ban. As it stands right now 146 out of 254 counties in Texas are under a burn ban. We are a Tinder Box right now.

  4. Finally, some rain.

I have a 6′ Engelmann Spruce a neighbor gave me that I want to get into the ground. Did a couple of small jobs last month and had to use a mattock just to go down a foot.

Also, I want to get weed & feed on the lawns.

  5. It’s been said my area is the driest in the country. Supposed to get a dose tomorrow but we need about 10 days of gentle rain. All surrounding counties are under burn ban yet I still see special people with fire in camp, assholes.
