On a totally unrelated subject, it’s the official first day of winter, here in tropical Far North Queensland, and I was freezing last night. The daily temperature range being 20° – 28°C along the coast, and it’ll drop even lower in coming weeks. I usually enjoy winter here, it being whitefella weather, but it comes with an unwelcome side effect, that being all the local girls cover up to fight off the cold.
Some people don’t appreciate temps that low. Where you only take short slurps of breath because any deep inhalation will freeze the alveoli in your lungs…

Wuss. -40C will give you a whole new appreciation of the word, COLD.
Been down to -72F, or -57C. Did not enjoy nor do I recommend the experience.
