And it’s getting worse. Cutting NOAA so we don’t what’s going to hit us and cutting FEMA so there’s no assistance after a catastrophe.
FEMA has always had problems but it was better than what we have now, essentially nothing.
As someone who lives in western North Carolina, eliminate FEMA. They were totally useless. I guess if you had a Biden/Harris sign in your yard they may have done something for you, but otherwise save the taxpayer’s money and eliminate them.
FEMA did nothing to help me when my house in Maryland flooded and we were homeless in Hurricane Isabel. (2003) House was totalled and we had water up over the kitchen countertops.
Fuck FEMA.
There isn’t a single government agency tasked with helping people that has done more than locals in any emergency, ever.
Putting your faith in government instead of yourself and your tribe is the mistake most of us have unfortunately made and now we’re paying for it.
I would bet we could eliminate 80% of the federal government and be perfectly fine.

Noaa can’t get a five day forecast right 80% of the time. Yet, they think that they can tell us and the rest of the world, along with their criminal collaborators at the national weather bureau’s around the world, what the weather is going to be 50 and 100 years from now while using the same algorithms they use for the present five day forecast. They just run the algorithms longer and get worse results from algorithms slightly tweaked to produce a predetermined result. GIGO at its finest.
