    • Almost 35% tax.
Where’s that black market when you need it?
      fuk this sorry assed gov’t

  1. Illinois math. Sub total $225.75 Total Tax $75.85 equals $301.00 everywhere else it would be $301.60.

  2. And this right here children is why legal weed will never push out illegal weed.

That works out to about $2000 an ounce.

Asked a buddy and he said street price is around 450

  3. For $10 a seed you can grow your own feminized Jack Herer (predominantly Sativa) and it’s basically free…..

  4. And that’s exactly why they wanted to legalize it. another tax source.. I live on the river between NJ and PA on the PA side. Cigarettes are cheaper here in PA than they are in NJ. New Jersey politicians are irate that PA is getting all that tax revenue instead of them.

    • almost 4/5 of the price of cigarettes is taxes.
in the army it was like 2 bucks and 15 cents a carton
in PA at that time was over 25 bucks- same carton of smokes
when philly raised the tax another 2 bucks per pack, the state wanted to raise it another dollar. so now, if you buy a pack of smokes
the prices is 7-8 bucks and up.
I started rolling my own around that time or a little before it
a 1 pound bag of tobacco is 14 bucks. paper tubes are like 3 bucks per 200. I get about 3 boxes of tubes per pound at least.
the rolling machine was 40 bucks. I had mine now for 5-6 years
it always about the money. god only knows what they do with it all beside piss it away on some stupid project or another.
besides their pay of course. that always comes first with them.
and BTW, there are lots of smoke shops JUST outside the city limits too that do a brisk sale of smokes to people from philly
coming in to save 2 bucks a pack too.

      • Used to be a truck stop on the North side of the Chesapeak Bay bridge back in the early 70’s. Thousands of cartons of cigarettes. NO Tax stamp. Cigarettes back then were like 50 cents a pack in NJ. I forget how much I paid for a carton, some where around $3 a carton.
I quit smoking in 1976 when the price went to 60 cents a pack at the 7-11.
When I was stationed in Greece back in 68-69, cigarettes were 17 cents a pack. American cigarettes on the Greek market were $1 a pack.

  5. 30+ percent tax, reeeee.

Not much news on it but many of those grow houses in Oklahoma are now being raided and busted. Apparently we have the most lax laws. Probably by design for asset forfeiture, another arm of the goobermint.

  6. $301.00 for 5.1g? That’s like $1650.00+ an oz.! For Reefer?
No wonder everybody is jacked up on Fentynol.
