  1. Phil Congrats on the sobriety. Having dealt with the problem myself, it has been a long time for me at this point. Life gets more manageable as you find your way. I think that after a while sobriety improves you being you. Gets rid of a lot of complications that come along or at least makes them easier to deal with.
Best of luck and keep following the road you are on.

  2. I would love to tell you all the spiritually enlightened and health concious reasons that alchohol and I have parted ways but the truth is I got sick of being sick. Been a couple of years for me so congrats. I confess I did have a glass of champagne for the toasts at my son’s wedding last fall but interestingly, in spite of an open bar, I had no desire for further drinking and had a complete good time at the reception. Keep it up. All of us twisted ones out here who share your sense of humor are with you.

  3. Awesome. I’m a ways down that same road myself and I do my best to ensure my status of asshole is and will forever be intact.

    TBH I think that’s a genetic proclivity though…..

  4. thanks for the heads up on buck 69!

  5. Congratulations! 43 years years here and counting. Leaving here soon to open up the local Alano Club for the Wed. Noon Meeting. Nobody has shown up lately. But I do my part and I trust God to do His.

  7. Good on ya! 34 years tomorrow, and ornerier now than I was before, simply because I don’t worry about getting caught with anything on me! ;D

  8. Guess we all got more in common than busted hands. Been twenty something years for me.
