Ok. I’ll bite. This is a made-up problem that makes no sense
At least the dairy tariffs (the ones I understand for professional reasons). Those tariffs kick in AFTER the tariff FREE quota is met. During the USMCA negotiations Canada had already accepted to allow the US tariff free volume to grow to $1.3 billion (mostly high value products)
There are 25,000 dairy farmers left in the USA. 8% of the farms produce 70% of the milk. That means that a few very wealthy farmers are getting most of the benefit.
On the flip side 340,000,000 Americans are paying 50% more on EVERYTHING that comes from Canada so that 25,000 farmers can sell a bit more cheese over the quota que already have. You and I will pay more for energy, our next truck (used o new), to repair our homes, etc so that some rich guys can make more $.
If you got every dairy farmer into one of the large college football stadiums it would be less than 1/4 full. That is how few they are. And yet ALL 340 MILLION Americans are paying more for EVERYTHING for their benefit
At the same time. Imagine the tables were flipped. Would you agree on your government allowing you food supply to be controlled by another country?

Trump is buthurt with Canada for God knows what reason. He wanted them to become the 51st state and Canadians refused, he doesn’t like French-Canadians, Trudeau first a Carney now make fun of him…. for whatever reason Trump is upset at Canada and wants an excuse to fight with them. Looking around the world, only a fool, would not identify Canada as our most dangerous enemy. Forget about China, North Korea, or Qatar. Those are not our enemies anymore.
