  1. Nice vid, I like his subject and agree we all could be a little smarter if we only wanted to. But sad to say people do not want that, they want lust, drugs and what ever is free and spoon fed. They are chasing the world and not knowledge.

“I was educated once – It took me years to get over it.”

  2. I can see his points for the most part, be curious, find the facts, yes, that’s generally great advice. Definitely don’t get halfway up to your elbows in anything and then fill in the rest with your opinions or feelings then pretend you’re an authority on the subject.
Unfortunately, there are truly millions of experts that have read the books (books that may or may not be worth the paper that they’re printed on, hence the phrase) and studied until they have vapor trails of letters after their names. They have indeed published books themselves. Easily half of these folks though, are absolutely unqualified for an entry level position in the practical application of field they claim to be experts in. By the same token, there are those that have never picked up a book, have not studied, do not have a resume in their field but who can run rings around published academics.
    No single rule applies.

  3. Yes, good subject and I agree with the basic tenet of the problems caused by the promotion of the belief that all opinions are equal.

(By the way, that belief has been promoted intentionally to this desired effect.)

He goes off the rails when he conflates anti-intellectualism with religion.
Perhaps it is a broad, generalization he makes. But then he specifically mentions creationism. The irony is huge.

  4. It sounds rational, the problem is that our society has been taken over by those who pose as intellectuals but who are ideologues. The vaccine is safe and effective, whiteness is the main problem in life, diversity is our strength, and other such tropes. I appreciate truly learned people, but they are a very small proportion of the posers and fakers who claim the title. Separating out the stupidity from them is an almost insurmountable task.

  5. EVERYWHERE!!!!

avoid them if you can, even this guy to a degree. He quoted the daily wire and ben shapiro.

I don’t need social approval of learning.

    • ps He is a grifter like all of them. He’s peddling his books at his webpage and uboob channel
