It is absolute chaos in the West Pacific right now. Typhoon Dolphin making landfall in China; Tropical Storm Chan-hom heading towards mainland Japan; and THREE MORE systems spinning around the Mariana Islands, all at the same time.

Wish that was over central United States
well, my Dad , who saw just about all of the war out that way. told me that the only thing that really scared the piss out of him was the Typhoon of 44. that is when the US navy “lost a few ships” to the sea. most of the time, he was below deck. but had to go topside for something during the damn storm. he said off to one side was a
destroyer on a wave. you could see the front and the back OUT OF THE WATER.
that was also the reason why he used to laugh at the “weather clowns” as he called them. thinking that we could change the weather ? as he used to say, yeah. right.
Don’t mess with Mother Nature, flash/boomboom
All that tropical cyclone activity should suck some the heat out of the El Nino, maybe making it less powerful than it’s forecast this winter
we got hammered yesterday in va. wind like a derecho but somehow not called one. power out all over. mine won’t be back on for several days/week.
Another crack at the 3 Gorges Dam, perhaps. Or maybe some of the smaller ones upstream of it
Whatever is making the storms stronger and more frequent, it’s definitely not climate change.
I’ll smoke what he’s smokin
