I am not a big fan of 5.56 as it was designed to wound but is stupid accurate. The 7.62×39 round is a doorway clearer in a AK. In a SKS or CZ52 the round is more controllable. My personal battle gun is a 6.8SPC that is not intended to wound and is stupid accurate and reliable.
I tend to like the 308 or 7.62 by 51 round for most social work myself. of course it depends on the job at hand too.
I set up a nice little Ruger 10/22 with a 1 in 9 twist barrel and have 2 bricks of the 60 grain subsonic ammo for it. it does very well out to 150 yards.
the 5.56 round will work for most things if you use enough of them.
and the platform is well known to many. the thing a lot of people overlook is parts are all over as well as ammo and mags.
remember, anything worth shooting once is worth shooting twice !
or three times to be sure.
must be getting old, changed to a semiauto 12 gauge as the main house gun. the CZ 712. the gun works very well, its faster than a pump for me. but I will keep my 590 and 870 as back up just in case. not planning on hunting any of the assholes who have fucked with me in the past as I figured GOD will get their ass.
if you ask for help, it one thing. you try to take something of mine, that is going to be a problem. like most here, just leave me alone.
and I have a lot of popcorn ready to watch the show when it starts
as I am well out of the soon to be battle zone.
