  1. Would probably sell well in Philly or Detroit or Baltimore or…well, pretty much any “diverse”, Blue city.

  2. kind of funny really. when my cousins came up to philly for a visit back in the 1990’s they went to sleep on the floor as they didn’t want to get shot in a drive by or something ? it wasn’t that bad in our area then. but 8-10 years later and 2 before I moved the hell out of there. a guy got robbed and shot in front of the house
around 8.30 or so for his wallet/money and chink take out.
they went on the subway armed to the teeth the one time they used it too.
I think every one of them was packing. my cousin understood why I had a 12 gauge pump next to the chair after that trip.

    • 1968- my 1st semester at Penn – there were 25 stabbings in the West Philly neighborhood that I walked though each day. The only change is the level of weapon sophistication.

      • spent 2 years working 3rd shift ER/Trauma at HUP.
so, yeah. gets kind of busy there. as you say, things haven’t
changed much except the weapons. still got our fair share of stabbing per week. (4-12 or so.)
one clown I never forget, he was beat up. run over and shoot
7 or more times. and he lived thru it all too.
standard ER patient. no health insurance , no job, no house
couple of gold chains though, rings and a roll of cash.
        according to the cops.

  3. Sandbags are cheaper and more effective. The only reason to use metal is if it’s in a vehicle.
