Great content! Keep up the good work!
Every government building, school, etc is funded through THEFT. Thou shalt not steal…
no argument but how shall we fund the police and fire departments
The majority of fire departments are volunteer, and private public safety services could easily be handled under insurance or other mechanisms. There is certainly NO REASON for any of this to be a government monopoly service.
Explain how “insurance or other mechanisms” would work. Selling ad space on uniforms and vehicles? Who pays for the uniforms and vehicles? Should the military have corporate sponsorship?
How are Trump, Musk and the billionaires going to get their billions without our taxes?
I’m a libertarian-leaning guy but your ideas are nuts (or a joke?)
Fire and security services could be part of your annual insurance policy ( yes, insurance cartels need to be reformed). Plenty of other mechanisms have been suggested in hundreds of books. Your claim to be libertarian is not supported by your being unaware of libertarian solutions. The Ludwig von Mises institute website has thousands of free articles and even books on all of this. Check them out. Government is pure evil. Private voluntary solutions need to be created to replace them.
Insurance is a contract. Who enforces the contract?
How does security insurance work? What if two private security firms come into conflict? Survival of the better armed? Not very efficient in a Pareto optimal sense.
Even Adam Smith said government should provide insurance because of the theory of big numbers.
I’ve read my share of Rothbard and Hayek. Limited government is a good idea. No government is utopian nonsense.
But those, especially #2, 3, 7, and 9 are wonderful for subverting nations, destroying the culture and true history of the host population, and turning free men into slaves.
That the people who do this are wicked, no question. But also, shame on the once free men who allowed it to be done unto them.
We cannot rescue this country without killin some people. Josey Wales said it best, “some people just need killin”.
