Yep, most don’t know that dealer mechanics have to supply their own tools.
It ain’t just dealer mechanics that have to supply their own tools. Every machinist, tool-n-die maker, even Rosie-the-riveter, has to supply their own tools. You get hired and you are handed a tool list you need to have on the first day of work.
That’s why I took my truck to my last day on the 1st of May. Emptied the tools into 5gal buckets drawer by drawer, and forklifted the box on it’s back into the truck bed cause it had a cap on it, followed by the tools.
Looks like the roller wheels on the right side (the ones on the road) are gonna need to be swapped out…
But I can feel for the guy, for sure.
