The guys at work (remember, I worked in a building FULL of computer/network nerds) tried to stump me with a part they thought I would never be able to identify – it was the resistor bank used in a fan circuit for a GM truck or Surburban, the guy was flabbergasted that I identified it immediately – I even showed him how to repair it if one of the wires broke.
Old age and treachery will win over youth and enthusiasm ANY day!
The older windshield wiper modules for GM trucks had circuitry for delay sweep and the ground circuit always failed. I use to fix those by adding a ground wire from the body to the one screw that screwed into the metal casing instead of the plastic and it saved countless dollars people having to pay for a new module. That was all it was to keep it working properly
