  1. Anyone recognize the engine in #18?

    It has North American-looking running gear, air pump, coupler, ELESCO feed water eater, brake line, etc. but a very foreign-looking smokebox.

    Second question: Anybody recognize the location where picture 23 was taken? The one with a steam engine climbing a grade and crossing what appears to be a single- or double-slip switch? Obviously a major junction somewhere.

      • Also many North American looking engines were most likely left over from Railway Operating Battalions during the Korean War.
