  1. Oh to have been a kid and ride that mono rail in the Chicago Sears and Roebuck store really cool.

    6th from the bottom looks like a Fredrick Remington one of my two favorite artists. Dad said Remington painted the horses as they were under nourished while Charlie Russell always painted them looking healthy. I have a replica of the “Coming Through Rye” sculpture.

    Mom worked as a docent at the Cowboy Hall of Fame so that was my daycare those old women kept an eye on me but yes I behaved.

    First thing was always go to that sculpture and dream of being one of those horseback riding into town shooting my pistol off.

  2. I always look at the Remington horse renditions as showing off the musculature of the animal rather than it being undernourished. Noble beasts indeed. Mai a few visits to the “Hall” when I lived in Yukon back in the 80’s.

    • Yup. And I’m pretty sure the view of the bridge from inside the tunnel are two shots of the same features.
