I tested positive for a week for the ‘rona, but didn’t have a single symptom. I DID get 2 free weeks vacation though…

My understanding is the smoke might also help kill viruses in the lungs. Smoking also helps against Parkinson’s disease allegedly reportedly. “People who smoke are less prone to the infection and/or exhibit less severe respiratory symptoms than non-smokers” and “ Neuroprotection of low dose carbon monoxide in Parkinson’s disease models commensurate with the reduced risk of Parkinson’s among smokers.”
I do not smoke, as there are real downsides, but have joked people who are sick should start until well again.

I heard that back then and got nicotine gum.
It was on an interview somewhere.
I got covid, but it lasted like two days. Felt more like a hangover (which was part of it).
I was smoking during Covid. Caught it. Was down for five days, 3 of which I could barely get off the couch to hit the head. I smoked about a half a pack during the illness. No long Covid effects. Caught it 2 more times during the subsequent strain iterations. They weren’t as bad as the first time. 3 days for each of those and I could function. The fever wasn’t as high. Have quit since.
There was another group that didn’t get Covid. Those that stopped listening and paying attention to the mainstream media years ago. I never had it, and won’t get whatever new shit they are selling. And I dont smoke.

Has to be more to it than nicotine tho, having long covid twice before the vaxx here, and no reason to take the a vaxx for a disease i had already built an immunity to and that was looking like BS from here, (blood clotting) ? had it a third time in 2022 but it was less than the others.
Finally achieved immunity, for a price, half the man i used to be.
All the years of walking, riding a bike and hard work under the sun paid off i guess.
Still life shattering, i know of 15 close friends and loved ones who died from covid or vaccine induced life-or-death situations.
It was all a very humbling.
