kind of looks like my old dog Jack. yup. a 20 dollar pound hound. and the best dog I ever had. great at hunting. didn’t care much for birds but he did jump them up
bringing them back was another thing. rabbits, he loved them. I had to share with him. I get 3-4, he get one. he used to run around the airfield on base with me.
5 miles, he did like 8-10. lived 17.5 years. was blind the last 2 at least. his teeth went at 15 or so. so he got fed cooked ground beef with rice. at the end, his hips where shot. falling down after 5-6 steps. that I couldn’t take. sad part was the vet said his lungs and heart where great for his age. just the rest of him.
night before, he got fed chopped up steak and we went on that last trip to the vet.
24 years and 5 months ago and I still break up when I think of it.

Better yet, they should be shot.
