My Fellow Comrades in Arms, Friends, Acquaintances, Blond Women, Brunette Women, Those I prefer to keep my company from, mortal enemies(enemas) and all others guided by the Righteous Lighthouse. I will bid you a temporary adieu. My internet will be disconnected sometime today and I should be up and providing snark, low morals and questionable content hopefully on Monday. Be safe, keep your protection in your wallet and be kind, I will tell you when it is time not to be kind.

  1. I hope you return even more cantankerous, twisted and less wobbly.

  2. Milwaukee is the girl you want. DeWalt will diminish with time. Ryobi will always be there for you when the others fail. A true fact.

    • maybe so, but DeWalt is the tasty portion. Milwaukee will cost you more in from the start and throughout your time together.

      • All of them have been tested at our boat manufacturer plant many times over the years , they supply them for testing, saws, drills battery & corded. DeWalt does the best, then Milwaukee. Ryobi isn’t allowed in the plant anymore.

  3. I predict the quality of the postings will see a drastic improvement over the next few days. And then fall back into the abyss of wretchedness evil we’ve all been exposed to for the past few years. I plan on smoking a good cigar and guzzling some bourbon in celebration of your absence.

    • Agreed.

I’m going to poop in the comments and say all kinds of rotten things about Cederq while he’s gone! 😂👍

      • My advice beside drink heavy, do the best you are capable of! But, it is you Filthie, I only expect the best!

  4. Made a lot of money with my Ryobi’s. Yeah, they aren’t as pretty as the Red Tools, but they get the job done.
I’ve used DeWalt’s before. They are junk. Watched a cordless drill rip itself in half using a hole saw. Had a hammerdrill puke its guts after core drilling 2 holes; while the Metabo it was supposed to replace, had done dozens. Straight up yellow homeowner toys.
My 1/2 ” Ryobi High Torque impact runs neck and neck with my brother’s 3/4 ” Milwaukee. Cost about 1/3 the price, as well. Funny thing is – they are both made on the same assembly line, in the same plant.

  5. Good luck.
Com-fucking-cast was called after a thunderstorm downed a tree in February which ripped the power and cable from the pole across the street. The should-have-been-un-employeed cable repairman left the downed cable in the attic and coiled in the yard….and pulled a new cable to a different pole on the other end of the house…

  6. I have a Ryobi impact wrench and I read a review that said it’s just for amatuers and people who might need it every once in a while which at this point is a description of me. I wouldn’t go to work in a garage with it but it seems to take the wheels of my truck pretty well when I rotate the tires or get a flat. I actually carry it charged in the vehicle. You don’t want to be an old guy trying get lug nuts loose on the side of the highway out here when it’s 115 degrees outside.

    • I keep a 20V Dewalt in my truck and a 3 ton floor jack for the same reason. Except I don’t want to be an old crippled guy changing out a flat tire @ -50.

  7. Dammit, mine are Ryobi but only by fate I did not choose them in the beginning.

BUT, so far so good for years now

  8. What make is the one leaning over the fence between Milwaukee and Dewalt?

  9. Sigh.
CederQ, I’m a-gonna HAVE to larn ya hows ta make yer cellphone a WhyFie Access Point.
Call me sumtime if’n ya can figger out how to turn the phone thingy on.

I’ll lets ya have the “buddy” rate, only 75 bucks an hour – time an a harf on weakendz.

I’m goin’ beddy-bye naow, call me inna mornin’.

  10. Walked into Grainger,
“I want the best cordless drill. Not the most expensive, the BEST. And voltage/amps means diddly.” That was 9 years ago. It’s been left or used in the rain, it’s been dropped from roofs (will again in the future, too, no doubt.) It is a powerhouse beast of a cordless.
Almost $500 for a Makita with 2 batteries included. Used it daily on the job until retirement 4 years ago. Use it thereafter here and there throughout the week. It’s never needed repair. The original charger AND batteries still perform as new.
By all accounts, I would have spent more than that in the same time frame on various drills of lesser quality while being stranded until doing so.
