  1. 11. My mother taught me about MULTI-USE EQUIPMENT. “This wooden spoon can just as easily stir the stew as it can whack you upside your head”.

  2. my Mom used dried soap. 6 kids (didn’t have cable) and she could and did RUN the house. anyway, she would unwrap the soap and store it until needed.
the soap got real hard and lasted a bit longer, I guess.
but if you ran (always a stupid move) she would grab a bar and hit you in the middle of your back before you knew it.
now the Mom next door had twin boys my age, she had a old army metal spoon
the BIG one. and she was quite skilled in it’s use too.
she was one of the reason why I stayed in Philly, kind of watched over her.
five foot tall and she still scared the shit out of me at times !
kept her walk and steps snow free every winter too.
really hated it when she passed on. she was 92. she was the last of my childhood.

  3. my mother passed away 5 yrs ago at 85.
her entire life was devoted to mine and my sisters happiness.
    i miss you mom.

  4. My mother taught me the CIRCLE OF LIFE.
“I brought you into this world, and I can take you out.”
My mother taught me about ANTICIPATION.
“Just wait until we get home.”
My mother taught me about RECEIVING.
“You are going to get it when you get home!”
    My mother taught me HUMOR.
“When that lawn mower cuts off your toes, don’t come running to me.”
My mother taught me about JUSTICE.
“One day you’ll have kids, and I hope they turn out just like you!”
