mom used to out shoot my dad all the time. with a 38 smith 4 inch barrel wheelgun
used to shoot old cans of the fence post from the back porch at grandma’s house
when we where kids. wasn’t that great with a shotgun, but she would nail anything
she could see with a rifle. dad was better at fast or shooting from the hip like.
okay with a 1911, damn good with his rifle. and always brought home dinner with
his shotgun. he stop hunting after he got bi focial glasses (?)
as he ended up under shooting rabbits- blowing the legs off them.
so, when I needed the same thing, I just got 2 sets of glasses. one for long range
driving or whatever . and one set for reading stuff.
I understand now why he shot the way he did after getting the same type of glasses. you lose the sight or target in the bottom of your glasses.
Likewise, my Wifey Unit is a better shot as well.
‘Course, I shake a lot thanks to Coumadin, but I still can track/shoot a moving target just about better’n anybody. Don’t have a clue how I got that skill, it’s not like I practiced or anything!!
Like wise digging for loaded hot product lines. Your vision DOES NOT NEED to be blurry on a 1000# per sq. inch natural gas line dig, for a crossing. A pair for distance a pair for reading.
Huh…maybe I married a reincarnation of Annie Oakley…anyway, I consider myself a lucky fuggin’ bastard.
