  1. I feel my arteries clogging up just thinking about bacon grease. I keep a jar in my freezer but never think about it at opportune times.

  2. We do the same with ice cube bags. Pour in cooled goose fat, just tear one of when you need one.

  3. If you let it cool you can’t pour it. Anyway they make nice silicone cube trays in different oz. amounts that work great for freezing homemade stocks. Can be poured in hot so it would work for the grease as well. We just keep it in a crock in the fridge.

  4. Why?  Fry your bacon.  You can eat your bacon however you like. By then, the bacon grease will be cool enough to pour into a pint canning jar, screw the lid on and put it in the fridge.  When you need some, grab the jar out of the fridge, get a spoon, and scoop out however much you want.  If you need the whole jar, stick the jar in the microwave and heat for 30 second bursts until the contents are liquid enough to pour into the pan. Save your freezer space for more bacon.

  5. Like I say before- This stuff is great for wounds. Not help heal but the scabs are delicious !

  6. One ounce plastic medicine cups ($6 for 100 at Amazon), about the same size as the dosage cup that comes with Nyquil, inserted into the egg carton pockets, works great and makes it easier to microwave the grease back into liquid one or two ounces at a time.
