Is a Revolution Percolating in the US Military?

Read it and ponder, do you really want to remain in war? To suffer if this goes fully kinetic?

Just before the US-Israeli war on Iran went kinetic, I shared my thoughts on literal “poop” deck of the USS Gerald Ford. “T-shirts and mop heads are finding their way into the pipes, and the proper explanation is sailors are attempting to declog these post-modern shit-suckers, but a bit of old fashioned rage and frustration may also play a part.

I was coy, but Colonel McGregor has not been.  He assessed at the time it was sabotage “out of extreme dissatisfaction.”  After 240 days at sea, the USS Ford was bound for Norfolk from the Caribbean for overdue repairs and crew changes.  Most of the previous several months had been plagued with non-functioning and flooded toilets, and bad leadership.  But Donald Trump decided he needed to send this battle group immediately to the Middle East, as part of a “war” buildup.  Alfred Lord Tennyson spoke for these men and women: “Theirs not to make reply, Theirs not to reason why, Theirs but to do and die.”

  1. You sign on the line, you do the time. Fuck these conscience wannabes. The old man did three tours in Nam knowing it was bullshit after the first in 64 – yes 1964. Then did time in Iran and Israel building “capability ” before he said no mas in the 80’s. Did his duty and never whined and made sure I didnt sign up. You’re in, you’re in own it.

  2. I’d be less concerned about actual Americans being an issue, and more worried about the way all the divershitty the dot mil has taken on will react in an actual wartime posture. We know (or have at least been told) that gangs both domestic and foreign, and others with ulterior motives, have taken to enlisting to get the training, and may well be staying in to serve as force disruptors.

And practically speaking, signing on the line means sweet fuckall. Oaths are only effective for those with the character to actually uphold them. Every US politician swears an oath on entering office, do you see any of them actually living up to it? The same will be true of some portion of military personnel, like it or not. The only difference is that the military has enforcement options at it’s disposal for those failing to meet standards and perform to their oath. Assuming TPTB actually choose to court martial offenders, that is.

    • One, Tulsi Gabbard. At every turn it seems that she has adhered to her oath.

Possibly two. Clay Higgins. I don’t hear hom much anymore. About two years ago he acted in a manner that raised doubts.

      Honorable mention to Tom Homan.

      • Ok, I can grant those exceptions. But that’s maybe three out of many hundreds. Less than 1%, effectively.

  3. Kwiatkowski has no idea what she is talking about. The sewage system on Ford is a vacuum system, and they never work right. Whitehouse, TN built such a system in the late 70s adn they nothing but problems with it. They said, many times, they wish they had never built the abortion.

Ford is a victim of the good idea fairy.

    • Agreed. They put these systems on yachts also. The primary problem is a buildup of uric acid crystals reducing the diameter of the pipes. Then a large or hard piece of shit with a big clump of toilet paper will get stuck at a turn in the pipe work.

  4. Having served a mix of 42 years in the military or supporting the military, this is of no surprise; whether war, Trump or whatever else caveats you can add. NO ONE fights harder not to be at sea than sailors.
