  1. I had Me-109s to B-29 to both F-4s through B-1Bs hanging from the ceiling of my room, then my eyes shit out in middle school and my pilot dreams went down in flames.

Some people don’t advance from model building, it’s such a nice day here maybe I’ll get all the stucco fixed before putting stone siding on the sauna building.

  2. Ughhhh. This is next level modelling if I don’t miss my guess – and it’s serious business. Everything is technique – and nowadays they have air brushes, paints and washes, after market super realistic parts like wires and hydraulic hoses, instrumentation panels for the cockpits – you name it.

The problem now is that the guys are going overboard with the weathering, rust, corrosion and battle damage. I saw one fella that did an F18 and he got in supreme shit for it… I guess some swabbies and smart ass vets in the comments said that if they had a jet that beat up on their carriers – they’d throw it overboard! HAR HAR HAR!!! It was a fair comment too – the weathering job he did was spectacular but when he finished it looked like the bird belonged in that big military bone yard they have in the desert where they store their old beaters and junkers that aren’t air worthy any more. HAR HAR HAR!!!

I wish I still had the drive and inclination for such things. Those would look great in the man cave or even down in the Reclusium….

  3. I remember reading about some guy who built a large scale model of a German ship – heavy cruiser or pocket battleship(??). He would sit down in a cockpit seat and cruise around the lake with a built-in speaker system playing music.
