Was just talking with the wife yesterday about the crotch cooler and how I wished it would come back.
That ball chiller was awesome in the summer in the 1978 ??? Chevy Impala that my brothers and I passed around before the youngest totaled it. He totaled every vehicle passed down to him.
Give us back the damned wing windows, too!

I kind of liked the lever operated exterior inlet vent that Ford had on the E series vans back in the 80’s. It was forward of the drivers door opening, and just down below the dashboard level. That thing worked great. Way back when I first went to work in a truck, I was issued a beater of an E-250 that had that feature, was a 1987 model, I think.
Still driving my 1993 Toyota truck…with wing windows, ball chiller, ashtray and lighter !!

I have a 74 Stingray with a ball chiller. The floorboard heat was a problem until I put in Dynamat. It is a rolling restoration as it sat in storage sine the 80’s. It only has 47k miles on it.
My wife’s Fiat has rear defrosters.
This (still) being America, who has the aftermarket skills to make an add-on?
The modern dash design has made it nearly impossible to get a duct down there or route one internally afterward. Maybe make a flex snorkel from the outer vent near the window, (which gets negated by the outside sun) to a fan driven swivel nozzle?
It could get attached to or tucked next to the steering column for safety.
It would be a welcome boon to all those who enjoy kilts.
