  1. Better than finding a Jeep in a crate. I actually saw the Jeep at a place in Naples, Italy early 1980’s, owner would not sell it. Sigh!

  2. Badass, thank you Leigh and Phil for sharing. Wish I knew how to run this machines.

  3. Put it where you park the Sprite. Could you get it in the backyard? Do we need to take up a collection to help you get it? I want one just to drive the management of the trailer park crazy. (Oh wait, I’m supposed to call it a manufactured housing community.)

    • Semantics… What would really set them off would be to actually use it, that Kubota diesel running, the lathe singing while cutting a block of steel and the air compressor filling the tanks.

      • What a sweet sound. I haven’t listened to manufacturing equipment since I retired. And since I’m a night owl…I would crank it up at 10 pm and run it until 6 am.

  4. I live near Fort Hood, Killeen, Texas. Once in awhile “they” are ordered to clean and dispose of surplus equipment.
I’ve watched multiple rolling tool cabinets loaded with full mechanics sets of tools…getting fed into a grinder.
    Yeah, sad.

  5. Did anyone call to get the price?
I know how to use some of the equipment. If you have a community of like minded self sufficient people you would likely have people who could run other items.
A great setup for a prepared community.

  6. 6 cylinder Kubota? Guessing that is 100+ ponies.
Don’t know what they’re asking but the lathe and mill are worth a lot. Especially if there’s some tooling included.

  7. And every year there are fewer and fewer people alive who could make use of it…

  8. I saw that this morning browsing around. That is a very cool piece of machinery. If I had the money I would buy it, and let the wife I was buying that machine. Period. Unfortunately I don’t have the funds.
