I have those knees too. Half of one has been replaced and the other is asking when is my turn. I have to wear a knee pad and put down a cushion to kneel on to work on the riding mower deck to replace or sharpen the blades. Then the comedy of getting up. Who knew that half a century of working construction could screw you up
Including phys therapy i’m at 5.5 months. I’m walking great. I just can’t kneel fully on my knee yet. I still have a couple of numb spots, and there’s the clicking sound I was warned about but airplane terminals, walks around the block (it’s 2 miles around my rural block) is not a problem.

For a guy who went into a profession where sitting in a chair was the norm, my knees sure are in sad need of replacement !
How long does it take to recover from knee surgery, anyway??

From now til the end, you’re not going to like going down steps. Buy yourself some good trekking poles. Use them. You can always telescope them down.
And eatin by a cheetah.
