I am doing well, I am home, my cat Nora molested me as she was happy I was home, no, Bear Claw hasn’t molested me yet, but, I am writhing under his authoritative tone of taking no bullshit from me and making sure I follow doctor’s orders. With his new found joy of emulating Nurse Ratchet from “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” I am in good hands for healing, he is going to make sure. I now wonder if I get a discount at the crematory because I don’t have tonsils/adenoids, gall bladder, R kidney and now five toes and five missing metatarsals and joints…

This reminds me of the joke about the P.O.W. in Germany during WW2.
He had to have a leg amputated and asked the Germans if they would send the leg back home so it could be buried in his country.
The Germans agreed and the amputated leg was sent home.
He then had to have his other leg amputated with the same request and the same result.
When he had to have an arm amputated and asked for it to be sent home, the Commandant of the P.O.W. camp refused.
“I have seen through your little scheme. You are trying to escape piece by piece”.
Let’s hope the old bugger doesn’t need to resort to such tricks to get out of the hospital. Still, it is good to be home among your familiar possessions, pets and friends. Fingers crossed for a full recovery and a return to his usual grumpiness. >};o)
