Same when I tried to get a starter for a friend’s DIRT Modified. It wasn’t enough that I wanted a starter for a 350 SBC with a 153 tooth flywheel. So when I told him it was a ’94 TEO Pro Car with a 358 small block and a BERT Transmission – he almost drooled. Ended up telling the guy: 1970 LT-1 Camaro with a 350 and a 10 1/2 inch clutch. He was able to find that.

My Pro Stock was worse. 72 Chevelle frame and lower control arms. 74 Nova upper control arms. 74 Nova spindle on the LF and a 72 Impala spindle on the RF. The rear end was a 2800lb Ford 9 inch out of a pickup. It was heavy, but built like a tank. Hardly ever fell out due to a mechanical failure. Great car to learn on.
