that is pure Hollywood bullshit there.
If you absolutely, positively have to make a “flip clip”, you don’t tape ’em together so they’re twice as long. You snug up to other (upside-down) “clip” so that when either end is inserted they are attached just below the magazine insert flange. Some Hollyweird idiot came up with this crap. I’m surprised Mr. Marvin didn’t object – but he probably didn’t DO that kinda crap in the first place.
