See, here’s your problem. In a case like that, you don’t lie to the government. You shoot them.
“Street Without Joy” is a must read, if you want to start understanding how fucked up the Vietnam war was. Supposedly, McNamara had it on his nightstand, but never got around to reading it, or maybe it was Westmoreland. Both of them should’ve read it, and Kennedy and LBJ too.
“Sicario” – good movie.

McNamara was too busy licking LBJ’s piles and rubbing one out on his own massive ego to do much reading, I betcha. But anything written by Bernard Fall is required reading. His biography written by his wife should be on that list as well; very enlightening.
