  1. I think what may have pissed Carlin off is that wanting to maintain being a Liberal clashed so much with what was happening in society that was in plain sight. You have to have blinders sealed shut to miss it all around you. His last few years had some bitter observations made, even his Liberal fans could not listen to them. To Conservatives, they were prophecy. He did indeed call it out.

  2. he was and is right, you know. and for meeting go, nothing so formal. they met at the golf course, the country club. around a poker table at a friends house.
a wink, a nod. a smile between friends at something when something is talked about. had a friend who was a caddy back in the early 1970’s. he kept his mount shut around the golf guys and his ears open. the one thing he did say was they always talk about important shit as they putt. with their heads down like.
he said a whole lot of deals went down out there.

  3. “It’s a big club and we aren’t in it.”

I just wonder what Carlin, Kinnison and Hicks would be turning out if they were alive today.

    • That was going to be my comment. They’d be having a field day and would be giving the finger to the cancel culture.

  4. He knew all the politicians and power brokers were the enemy. As said above ‘It’s a big club and we ain’t in it”.

  5. And to think of all the boomers, not every one, and other people who heard his comedy and still went along with the big club I ain’t in.

    • Short of using the cartridge box, how would the “boomers” have done anything different?

      • Wasn’t criticizing Nemo I am one also. It was the sociopathic part of that generation I was referring to that has steered this implosion.

It was inevitable, read the book The Fourth Turning. Generationally is how the cycles occur.

    • What do you mean, “went along with”?
If you, for example, want to let a man fuk you in the ass and I don’t try to talk you out of it, that doesn’t mean I “went along with” it.

In this life all of us are supposed to behave as adults whether anyone agrees with you or not.
