  1. So what is British Leyland / Fiat / Lancia / etc etc’s excuse – we can only guess at crap design and crap treatment of crap metal . . .

  2. Electrons have a negative charge and flow through the body back to the positive post. This is actual current flow vs conventional current flow.
    Which is why anytime you have a voltage issues you should check all your ground wires.

  3. What I’d like to know is why positive ground was ever chosen in the first place. Negative ground just makes logical sense , irrespective of the issue of destroying the steel body.

My fucking Sprite was originally Positive Ground but I found a book on customizing the little Rat Fuckers that had a chapter on how to convert them, including on how to convert the electric tach about 30 years ago and swapped that shit. It’s probably the only reason that dirty cocksucker hasn’t rusted completely away.
