Just…NO.
ALL of ’em.
+ 1, scott. Yuck! But you stumped me, Cederq, I didn’t know that they existed.
I have actually seen TWO different ones in my lifetime. They’re home-built, for one, and void the warranty for the other……….
But I wouldn’t own one one.
had a friend who bought a new rag top vette. he kept it for less than a year.
it was going on a beer run that he found out how worthless they are.
two guys head out to make a beer run. buy 2 cases of beer. come back to said car and find out there is nowhere to put said beer. so, one of us has to ride back with 2 cases on his lap. in real life, it was only good for picking up pussy.
and even at that it was only okay. the 911 I had years ago was much better at
that too. if she (whoever ) had a friend, said friend could ride in the so called back seat. most people who ever had to ride back there always sat sideways as there is no leg room at all back there.
and it had room for beer and a bag for weekend trips too.
You can buy your funeral director’s fantasy car but you can’t buy good taste!
FUGLY
Sacrilege.
I believe in merry old England these are called “shooting brakes”. I would like to think that photoshop was involved, but sadly just some idiots with more time and fiberglass resin than sense.
The sad thing is your 5 cylinder C30 will outrun a 76-82 Corvette. Volvo mis-marketed the C30. They should have had a high end R model for the people that liked the 1800 that was fully optioned and a stripped down non-turbo base model for the entry level market. The base model should of had a din style radio, basic AC, inexpensive auto transmission, and with manual windows and power nothing. If they had built that car with pricing about $20k and targeted college graduates on marketing they would have started a younger generation in the “Volvo for life” crowd.
Somebody should be shot for that…
well, i suppose you have to drag a vette nuts body to the cemetery in something???
That car looks like a drivable mullet. Only it is party in the front and business in the back.
Sorry, but that’s just an abomination against all that’s holy. If the auto world had a “Glamor Don’t” like a woman’s magazine used to have, all of these sad cars would be shown in all their dismal “glory.”
Didn’t know a vette’ could be made uglier but you convinced me. Sacrilege!

It appears they were factory made as an option 1968 to 73.
Still ugly though.
Dunno. Would be nice to have one of them. Not sure I would actually ever drive it but would be something to start conversations with.
These kinda remind me of my current Volvo C30 …

… and of my beloved Volvo 1800ES … RIP …

The Callaway Corvette Aerowagen is a Chevy authorized modified corvette that you could order through certain dealerships. I have no idea what they are doing with the mid engine cars. https://www.callawaycars.com/homepage/the-company/callaway-cars/callaway-c21-corvette-aerowagen/
Nothing says “gay old white guy” like a corvette station wagon.
UGH!
Like putting a back pack on a ballerina
Thanks! They are ugly. There were 2 or 3 companies that had conversion kits. One was in Augusta GA and a hatchback Vette would be seen ever so often.
If memory serves, there was a four door Vette. Not sure if it was a prototype, if it was factory, or what.
