    • I was walking past the Ford lot on Friday and noticed the price tag hanging from the rear view of a Ford F150 4-door EV.

      NINETY-FOUR-FARKING-FARKING-THOUSAND-DOLLARS!

No wonder they can’t sell the sumbitches!

But on the other hand, the tag also said “no payments for ninety days” so it had that going for it.

  1. My first truck had a working temp guage, speedometer, ammeter, and on the floor a high beam button. My 2nd truck had an AM radio. I got both kinds of music, country and western.

Also, the fuzz wasn’t too particular about you doing roadside repairs.
I replaced a starter at the curb of the main drag. I left my truck parked three days on main street in a no parking zone until I got all the parts necessary to replace the clutch. This involved dropping the trans and bench pressing it back in to place.
    No hassles.

    • Thanks, but I’ll keep my heated/AC seats, Bose sound system and SuperCruise.

  2. Or a basic car. Manual windows, those little triangle front windows to force air in, stick shift, otherwise just bog normal. Something decent and home repairable and inexpensive.

    • hell, yeah. I buy one too if I can add a heater to it. ( gets cold in the hills of pa.) radio, maybe. if it has a carb and points for sure.

  3. Vent windows, kick panel vents, dimmer switch on the floor, bench seats,

  4. Cmon that truck is from the 80s. My daily driver is a 61talk about bare essentials. He forgot to show the dimmer switch on the floor.

    • No, that is a 73 -79 F-150. 2WD, BTW.
Same exact interior as my 79, right down to the powder blue exterior paint and dark blue on the dash. Mine did have the optional AM radio, when my Grandfather bought it new.

  5. And that things still cleaner that the 70-whatver C20 I drove when I worked campground maint. That one had the optional floor hole ashtray too.
Hell, I’d go for that basic Toyota in a heartbeat. The 91 Mitsubishi I had came w/4WD & an AM/FM radio. I paid the extra for AC.

  6. I had a 72 F-100 Ranger. I had the 302, 3 on the tree, and a 377 limited slip rear. The Ranger package gave full instruments, AM/FM radio, limited slip, and badging. There was power nothing, It got 18mpg on the highway without a load running 60 mph. It was a tuff truck.

  7. I showed my grandson how to drive the ’69 Chevy 4×4 V8 4 speed out in the pasture. Then proceeded to upshift and downshift using only throttle control, no clutch. His smile was priceless.
