and just what are you working on that you “need” one that big ?
I have a old Walker turner 5/8 chuck that covers just about everything I need to drill
It would do every hole I need to have drilled…
No, you want a Cincinnati-Bickford #2 “Hole Wizard” Radial Drill, with Power Downfeed.
Now that’s a cool machine.
I don’t know the make, but I have an old flat belt driven drill press with the largest bit being 2″. It was modified to run with an electric motor but it must have been line shaft driven originally. Oh, and it has power down feed but it’s not adjustable so anything over 1 3/4″ I have to use the manual feed. Since I got the latest mag drill that will do 2″ the old beast doesn’t get as much use as it did in the past but it still sets there along the wall ready to go.
I’d love it but it would take up half the garage and I can barely walk through it as it is.
A friend gave me an old Sears one but still not quite that awesome
