Doom Porn With A Hint Of Hope

I’m sure you remember Uncle Clif.

He has this kind of Podcast thing that he puts out whenever he has to drive into town and back.

He records it while he is driving and then publishes it when he gets home.

I really enjoy this format because then I can listen to them either while I’m on my way home or while kicked back with my feet up.

There is no question the old fart is paranoid, he freely admits it but he is also one sharp cookie and he spends a huge amount of his time watching what is going on and researching shit.

So when he starts talking about the coming economic collapse and the ensuing shit storm that is 100% heading our way, I listen very carefully and usually listen to them more than once.

This is one that I will absolutely be listening to again but I thought I would take the time to share it first.

I have people asking me what I think is coming and I take my cues from Clif High,

along with dozens of other sources of course but Clif isn’t doing it to make money like so many others are.

He has way more information available to him than I do and I think the information he is sharing in this episode is pretty time sensitive.

He and I both think that they are going to pull the plug this Summer.

Banks are going to start failing and the Food Riots are going to be right behind them.

The Shit Is Going To Hit The Fan For Real.

Listen and plan accordingly.

  1. I agree with where you are going with this, Mr. Phil. Some clamor about metals. Show me a recipe for gold. For me, it’s all about consumables. Cheap jersey gloves, socks and underwear. Cheap watch caps for barter. Need suspenders for when we all shed fat. Also recommend cheap makeup to make yourself and family appear to be unhealthy.

    • For all the wonders of gold, few remember that FDR and his administration outlawed private ownership of precious metals used as currency. Only jewelry was exempt. First sign of trouble and this current administration will again outlaw precious metal ownership. And most people who have bought precious metals did so through dealers who kept and keep meticulous records, just like gun dealers.

So, yes, consumables. Lots of consumables. Like spices and salt, two of the most expensive commodities in a non-industrial, no easy transport world.

      • for close to 400 years, one OZ. of gold was worth the same as one OZ. of black pepper in Europe.
and anyone who has ever eaten c-rats or MREs knows the value of spices. it is the difference between something you can eat as compared to something you have/need to eat.
buy a lot of spices, store in a cool place.
but pepper and salt are always good to have on hand.
coffee and tea will be worth having as well.
sugar and homey keep well long term.

          • Years ago, once I decided to cut way back on salt, everything tasted bland. Go figure. So I began using McIlhenney’s tabasco. It proved to be a gateway drug. Gradually, my then-GF and I ratcheted up the heat, topping out at Habanero sauce. This was the definitive ‘A little dab’ll do ya.’ (points if ya know the reference). We eventually settled on Texas Pete hot sauce. It adds flavor without excessive heat. More than that, it has zero high fructose corn syrup and low sodium. Win-win-win. Better and better, our local Chick-fil-A has it in individual packets.
            Stay safe

            • Brylcream.- a little dab’ll do ya!
              Bryllcream, you look so debonair!
Bryllcream, a little dab’ll do yaaaaaaaaa,
They love to run their fingers through your hair!

              Neener, neener.

        • Yeah, I’ve said for years that I just hope I have enough garlic and cayenne to choke down that ‘possum with.

  2. a long time ago, I learned that stuff was better than money. as long as it is the right stuff. these clowns are printing money so fast it does scares people. and it should.
about 20 years ago, I figured I should learn how to grow a garden. it is not as easy
as one would think. still after 3 years, I think I got the hang of it.
saving seeds is a big thing. save the best ones. BTW, any onions that start growing
on you. save them and plant them. it is how you get seeds from them. small as anything though. I used a small mesh bag form something to catch the seeds.
like Clif says, food will be a big problem or the lack off it will.
stock up on as much as you can, while you can. those of you in cities or the burbs are going to be hit the hardest by this mess.
the game changer will be electric power. if you can make it, great. until you fuel supply runs out.
I think canned goods are a better buy for your buck right now. unless you plan on moving to a “safer area” then the freeze dried stuff be better/lighter to move.
canned ham is still cheap (sort of) I get the smaller cans myself. unless your feeding a crew of people. rice is still cheap, get a lot of it. canned or dried beans too. a couple of rolls of plastic and a good book on hoop gardening might be a good idea too.
the S2 underground had a show on war kitchens that is worth watching.
that dried split pea and bacon ration might be handy to have around when food gets short. easy to make now, dried and stored away for when it is needed.
we have seen how people react when the EBT or Snap cards stop working
already. image how bad it will get when there is no food to be had ?
most people might have 2 weeks worth of food in their house. if that much.
and the last year was not a good one for farmers either. I think Clif might be right about this summer going to be kick off time for food riots and worse.
get out of the cities and burbs now while you can, if you can that is.
still worried about the “election” in 2024 ? I not sure we going to have one then.
till then, get as much stuff as you can to store for later.

  3. Yeah I’d love to convert some paper into eagles , but the premium is $35 here locally and limited at that.
So really the man is right , and better if ya put it into consumables.

As I tell the Mrs. tho , we good for our predictable lifespan if the bottom drops out.

    • Only problem is you can’t eat it and who is/are you going to trust or trust you at time of exchange?

      • You can get assay supplies on amazon and watch youtubes to learn how to use it. Then practice, practice, practice.
If you buy US minted 90% silver coins you eliminate some of the distrust.

    • See that big cluster in North Dakota? Minuteman missile sites. We were all well aware that if The Big One came along, we were toast.

Didn’t boher us too much. Gotta die SOMEtime!

  4. Gold is well and good. But is essentially useless for barter. The denomination is too large (St. Gaudens). For most simple transactions

US gubment issued silver coins, will do you in better stead, post apocalypse.

You will be spending them sooner than you think. Or can believe.
